Japan Travel Photography

My photos from all over Japan have been used by countless clients related to the travel industry, including CNN, Lonely Planet, Navitime, Osaka Metro, JTB, Prince Hotels, Shangri-La, Marriott Hotels and Discover Japan. In 2018 I got appointed a domestic travel expert (広域周遊観光促進のための専門家派遣事業) by the Japan Tourism Agency, allowing me to work closely with various regional tourism boards all over Japan as a special consultant, helping them promote their regions to international visitors from across the globe. I have also hosted a travel TV show on NHK World, as well as helped various international production teams with other TV shows related to Japanese travel, food and culture.

I regularly share my photos from Japan, together with insider travel tips, to my 22 000 Instagram followers. You are more than welcome to follow me there if you aren’t already.

If you have an idea or project related to Japanese Travel and Tourism that you would like to discuss with me, or if you need photos from any part of this beautiful country, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

Throughout the years, I’ve managed to visit the vast majority of Japan’s 47 prefectures, and I’ve learned about countless hidden gems that are yet to be discovered by the international travel community. I feel equally at home while exploring remote islands off the coast of Japan or small hamlets and mountain villages in the rural parts of this country, as I do while looking for the perfect place to go for a drink on back-streets in Japan’s bigger cities. I prefer to travel slowly, using local transportation as it allows me to interact with the people around me, something that usually leads to the most memorable moments and unique experiences. If you would like to learn more about my photographic method, you are welcome to book a private travel photography workshop. please contact me if you would like more information.
